Bouke Bouwt is a game made for and by speech therapists for children between 7 and 10 years old with a language development disorder. In Bouke Bouwt children learn to recognize sentence structures and build them themselves.The use of smart gamification methods keeps the children motivated to keep playing and practicing. The speech therapist can set the level of sentence constructions for each child. In addition, the speech therapist can give the game as homework at no extra cost.The game was made in collaboration with Hogeschool Utrecht Lectoraat Speech Therapy – Communication by Participation, project ZINnig, subsidy body RAAK and Game Tailors. The game can be used as a preparation for the MetaLanguage method.
